This interactive, hands-on training course dives deeper into Archicad along with basic Building Information Modeling (BIM) techniques and collaboration concepts. At the conclusion of the course, attendees will have a working understanding of BIM basics and the skills needed for adopting a streamlined BIM workflow.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, you will:

Learn how to use the Morph Tool to create custom objects
Understand the benefits of a customized work environment by incorporating layouts and templates

Target Audience

This course is for new users who have taken Drafting Basics and Archicad Fundamentals courses, or for current Archicad users who are looking to enhance their skills.

You will have access to a related quiz upon completing the relevant content, and you will also have the opportunity to retake them before completing the course. To earn points towards your AIA LUs, achieve a minimum score of 80% on the quiz and complete the satisfaction survey.

Software Requirements

The exercise file in this course has been created using the International language version of Archicad 24 which means that the work environment and some of the content may be different if you are using a different language version.

Recommended Learning

We recommend you complete the following course in order to be able to actively follow the trainer's presentation and demonstrations in Archicad:

Access Time Frame

You can access the course materials for 6 months, counting from the first login to the course. Within this time, you can access the course's assessments, download the exercise files and handouts, or watch the recordings. After this, you will be deactivated from the course and will not be able to access any course materials.

Awards

Completing the course material, including the quiz with a minimum score of 80% achievement and filling out the satisfaction survey, will award you points towards achieving 6 points towards your AIA LUs and a Certificate of Attendance in issues automatically in PDF format.

Get familiar with the course outline and the agenda. Download the exercise files to be able to follow the course along with the instructor.

In this module, you will detail your model, touch on Stairs & Railings, Importing Objects, use the Morph Tool, and understand Text and Labeling. You will also explore how to effectively create and annotate elevations and sections. Allowing you to utilize Zones, 3D Documents, and Graphic Overrides to effectively communicate design intent and document your project precisely.

This module focuses on essential project settings that will enhance your project documentation. You will learn how to effectively leverage Classifications and Properties for your Schedules. Additionally, you will explore Fills, Surfaces, and Attributes and understand the importance of Model View Options, Preferences, Organizers, Master Layouts, and the Publisher.

Finishing the quiz referring to the previously seen content before proceeding to the subsequent modules is advisable.
