Discover Best Practices for Design Teams Using Archicad & Revit®

Architectural collaboration between Archicad and Revit® users poses challenges different from traditional 2D CAD collaboration. As with most design process challenges, “Start with the end in mind.” Therefore, this course will focus on reasonable expectations for architectural BIM collaboration workflows.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, you will:

  • Understand the content that is in an IFC Architectural and 2D format exchange
  • Expectations for data exchange of file types between Archicad and Revit®
  • Reasons to create subsets of the BIM IFC export to Revit®
  • Leveraging the strengths of each type of exchange to optimize the results

Target Audience

This course is for users who have taken the Getting Started with Archicad courses, or for current Archicad users who are looking to enhance their skills. 

Quizzes and Tests

You will have access to a related quiz upon completing the relevant content, and you will also have the opportunity to retake them before completing the course. To earn points towards your AIA LUs, achieve a minimum score of 80% on the quiz and complete the satisfaction survey.

Software Requirements

The exercise file in this course has been created using the USA language version of Archicad 25 which means that the work environment and some of the content may be different if you are using a different language version. 

Recommended Learning

We recommend you complete the following courses in order to be able to actively follow the trainer's presentation and demonstrations in Archicad:

  • Start Modeling with Archicad
  • Getting Started with Project Documentation in Archicad
  • Take your Schematic Model to the Next Stage with Archicad
  • Working with DWGs

Access Time Frame

You can access the course materials for 6 months, counting from the first login to the course. Within this time, you can access the course's assessments, download the exercise files and handouts, or watch the recordings. After this, you will be deactivated from the course and will not be able to access any course materials.

Awards

Completing the course material, including the quiz with a minimum score of 80% achievement and filling out the satisfaction survey, will award you points towards achieving 3 points towards your AIA LUs and a Certificate of Attendance in issues automatically in PDF format.
